For never saw I mien or face In which more plainly I could trace Benignity and home-bred sense Ripening in perfect innocence. ~CCXLIX. To the Highland Girl of Inversnaid, W. Wordsworth |

Lita Re'jak was born into a small aristocratic family whose mercantile business was centered on fine silks and other rare threads. Raised by her father, and the several maidservants of Re'jak Manor, Lita was kept ignorant of the common activities and the common people of Falconmyght. Her days were filled with etiquette, arithmetic, literature, and history; while her nights were filled with the intricate drama that surrounded balls, suppers, and long nights alone. |

At the age of fifteen, Lita's world came crashing down around her. Her father's absence from the family was growing longer with each business meeting and her eldest, and only sibling, married a woman in a distant town ship; leaving the girl alone much of the time. Soon, letters became Lita's only way of communicating with her brother and, more often than not, her father. It was one of these nights, while carrying a letter to her handmaid, that Lita overheard the kitchen staff discussing the true nature of her mother's death: childbirth.
Hurt that so many had deceived her, and feeling as if she caused her mothers death, Lita ran off into the night. After several hours of crying, a young man stepped forth from the shadows of a large oak. In the near distance, she could hear the group of people he was with laugh and converse amongst themselves. Introducing himself as Zaal (insert last name here), the boy invited her to join his group of friends and she accepted.
Today, Lita is sixteen and continues to sneak off with Zaal and his brothers. Her relationship with her father has grown distant and with her brother it is hardly existent. Every day, as she learns the ways of those not part of the noble hierarchy, is a surprise to Lita. Her innocence, and ignorance, is quickly disappearing with the veil of grandeur that once hindered her sight.
