Bleeding Souls
are the chronicles of the family Nissassa and the Clan. The name of the Clan is only known to some: The Echysp. What you will read will be graphic, cryptic, dangerous, wicked, vile, mysterious. One can only hope for a happy ending in this tale. So, as the creator of the Clan, I advise mature readers to enjoy themselves as the tale unfolds before them; otherwise, please leave.
"So you've decided to come and get to know the Clan, have you?"
The voice belongs to a man who sits in the corner near the fireplace. He wears a 17th Century Victorian suit of black and midnight blue. Next to him, resting against the arm of the chair, is a long black cane. The head of the cane is silver and shaped into a raven. He is rather handsome with rugged, chiseled facial features. By the way the clothes fit him, one could tell he is strong and muscular, athletically lean. His eyes are an obsidian black, and his hair is abyss black. He smiles softly; yet, within is something mysterious. In his gloved hands is what looks like a newspaper.
"Did I frighten you? Please forgive me." He motions to a chair across from him. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Stefan Drachmen." He leans back in his chair, templing his gloved fingers under his chin. "You've obviously come here to learn of them. The Clan, I mean. Well, here..."
He reaches down and picks up a black leather bound book. It looks so thick. He lays the book down onto the middle of the table. He smiles. His eyes taking on an amused look.
"I hope you enjoy yourself while you read that. You will find the most interesting things there. If you will excuse me, " he rises, "I must attend to some business."
He gives you a strange look and a dark knowing smile. He leaves, disappearing into the shadows.
The book is titled Bleeding Souls: The Saga of the Nissassa and the Ehcysp. Should you reach for it, the cover opens by itself. The first page holds the picture of a demon embracing a lovely young woman in his strong arms. Fangs graze her milky white skin. Another page turns, and writing appears...
This will introduce you to the women of the Ehcysp and the family of Nissassa. In here, you will meet all those who have helped and maimed both parties. Let us first give you background on the main...'characters' of this grand play. Oh, yes, this is a play. Each one has her or his part to fulfill. We can only guess if they will...
